acoustical consulting firm, has met the needs
of professionals for over two decades. Providing
high quality acoustical consultation, the firm's
services are targeted to projects' and clients'
specific requirements. Specialists at Ostergaard
achieve this goal by working with clients to
establish functional and realistic acoustical

criteria are then established. Further, the Ostergaard
staff provides information and up-to-date research
data to meet these acoustical needs. The firm is noted
for innovative approaches to what are frequently complex
challenges.
Collectively, the
staff of Ostergaard Acoustical Associates has a century
of experience in the relatively new field of acoustics.
The staff remains technically current through their
wide ranging project experience, and active participation
in major technical societies including: Acoustical
Society of America; Institute of Noise Control Engineering;
ASTM; Audio Engineering Society; New Jersey Society
of Architects; and, the American Industrial Hygiene
Association.
The firm was formed in 1971. R.
Kring Herbert joined the firm the following year. He
contributes his expertise in architectural acoustics.
Edward M. Clark, P.E. arrived in 1982 bringing a wealth
of experience in mechanical systems, industrial and
environmental noise control. Dr. John Erdreich joined
in 1986. He contributes experience in psycho acoustics,
medical acoustics, and provides scientific counsel
to legal clients. In 1988 Herbert, Clark and Erdreich
became the principals of the firm. The organization's
name was then changed to Ostergaard Acoustical Associates
to better reflect its mission to its growing roster
of clients.
